Rob has dedicated his life to service. Most recently, he has been volunteering with the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architecture Review Boards
Justice Alliance for Design Education: Co-founded with Tya Winn, an alliance between six Philadelphia-area architecture programs, the Philadelphia Chapter of the AIA, DesignPhiladelphia, and PhilaNOMA to advocate for equity in design education. In 2024, the JADE Fellows Program was established through generous external funding. Learn more here.
American Institute of Architects – Rob serves on the Higher Education Task Force (HEAT), where he helps to bring the higher education perspective to the AIA. In 2024, he served as a juror for the AIA COTE Student Design Competition.
National Council of Architecture Registration Board – Rob served as a volunteer on the Education Committee where he helped to bring the higher eductaion perspective to NCARB.
Dark Matter University – Rob contributes as a Roster Member of the organization. https://darkmatteru.org/
AIA Philadelphia: Rob served as the Director of Education on the board from 2018 to 2024. In 2023, Rob was elected President of the Chapter.
DesignPhiladelphia: From 2018 to 2024, Rob served as a board member, assisting with initiatives including the organization’s rebranding, the Edmund Bacon Competition, and the Justice Alliance for Design Education.
Community Ventures: From 2008 to 2024, Rob served as a long-time board member, bringing a sustainability perspective, and assisted with strategic planning to this organization.
Green Building United: Rob was a founding board member and served for 12 years.
