Teaching

Rob is a life long teacher. He centers co-creation and active learning in all his courses. He uses inspiration to get the most out of his students

Rob currently serves as a Fellow of the Center for Environmental Building + Design. From 2022 – 2024 Rob was the founding Director of the Center for Professional Learning and two Executive Education programs: Design Leadership and Design for Sustainability.

In 2008, Rob became the Founding Director and Professor of the MS in Sustainable Program in the College of Architecture and the Built Environment. Rob developed and taught courses in sustainable design methodologies, sustainable design studios, and community engaged design studios. Before then, Rob was an Associate Professor in the Architecture Program where he taught studios on sustainable design and digital visualization.
